The Wii’s Weird Descriptive Icons

Just about wrapped up with getting all the Japanese Wii VC and Wii Ware games we might ever need in the next 10 years. Some of the game descriptions come with icons as warnings of the game’s contents. The icons for the scary school stories game is loaded with dreadful things:

I do like the ghost icon they use for horror games :3

Moving on to the American Wii pretty soon…

  1. Yes, WiiWare’s manuals are online, so they’re more in danger of being lost. Virtual Console’s are offline, so they should be “safe”. (they will still be able to be played even after the servers go down, as long as you have backed up the game and can re-load it onto the same console)
Though it sounds like I may have to bite the bullet and do a more permanent mod to my Wii installing “hackmii” to dump my firmware so I can even play my games on Dolphin to ensure preservation. Unless there’s a different program I can run through Homebrew Channel that doesn’t alter the system boot, to be able to dump my NAND?
