Working on the Funky Fantasy book got me thinking about this old video.
Three years ago, Mato drew pictures of the entire plot of Final Fantasy 4. And then he had me watch this video and narrate what was happening. And I barely remembered the plot of Final Fantasy 4 back then.

Yes, there is a game actually called Funky Fantasy, and from just this first level, it does look like Poemato material (that is, obscure and ridiculous). Crazy-looking Japanese people commanding armies of like, rocking horses.

My only experience with FF4 being Funky Fantasy 4 and this retelling makes FF4’s plot sound very surreal.
